B.Tech in COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING (CSE)
PROGRAM AT A GLANCE
Program TypeB.Tech (Full-Time)
Duration4 Years (8 Semesters)
Learning ApproachPractical Learning, Technical Projects, Industry Exposure, Laboratory Practice
Engineering Innovation Through Practical Learning
The Computer Science and Engineering Program has a goal of providing a strong foundation for students in the disciplines of computing, programming, software development, and problem-solving. This program builds theoretical concepts on a foundation of practical applications so that students can develop an understanding of the technologies we use today and what is required from them by employers in our industry.
We offer a hands-on approach to computing with this program. This allows students to develop practical skills using programming languages, data structures, algorithms, database management, cloud technologies, software engineering, computer networks, and other digital technologies. Students will also have multiple opportunities to learn about the subject area through various forms of lab work, projects, workshops, and other relevant technical activities.
Program Structure
The program is divided into eight semesters with a focus on industry-driven learning and developing technical skills.
First YearFoundation subjects include: Mathematics, Physics, Programming Fundamentals, Communication Skills, and Engineering Concepts.
Second YearCore computer science subjects include: Data Structures, Object-Oriented Programming, Computer Organisation, Operating Systems and Database Management Systems.
Third YearAdvanced subjects include: Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Web Technologies, and the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence.
Fourth YearIndustry-related elective subjects, project work, internship exposure, research activity, and professional skill development.
Eligibility & Duration
To be eligible for admission into the B.Tech program, candidates must have completed the 10+2 level from a recognized board with Physics and Maths as core subjects; all other eligibility requirements must also be satisfied.
The B.Tech program is an undergraduate degree program of 4 years in duration and consists of 8 semesters, each containing theoretical instruction, practical labwork and industry-based learning experiences (internships and project-based activities).
